If you have any questions, please contact fivaldi.integrations@visma.com.
4 Steps to becoming an Integration partner
- Clarify your concept and verify if Fivaldi API supports all your needs
You can find the list of supported resources and methods in Visma Fivaldi API Resources.
- Reach out to us at fivaldi.integrations@visma.com and we will help you through the process. We will provide you with the Partner account credentials and access to a sandbox test environment. Please note that the test environment is usually not dedicated to you so no real customer data can be used there.
- Build and test your integration following the instructions in this document. If you need support, please reach out to us at fivaldi.integrations@visma.com.
- Once you have a working solution, we will publish the information about your service on Fivaldi Marketplace.
Building the integration
Our aim is to provide you with an easy to use API with sufficient documentation to support the development of your integration. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or face any difficulties during the development.
Authentication
A Fivaldi Integration partner will receive a Partner ID and a shared Partner secret. Once you have these, you can use the instructions here to set up the authentication.
In the instructions you can find a Pseudocode example for creating the request MAC. We have also provided a Postman collection which contains code for creating the correct authentication headers and an endpoint for testing it.
Testing
Initially the Partner account will have access to a sandbox testing company. This company is in a shared environment and no real customer data is allowed to be published there, so please use only mock data. The test company has some mock data already in place which you can use to play with.
Your Partner account will initially have an agreed set of permissions to the test company to match the planned functional flow of your integration. If you need additional permissions during development, please reach out to us.
We recommend using GET /customers as the first test method to verify that you are able to call the API successfully.
Updates to Fivaldi API
Fivaldi API is continuously developed further and new features are added regularly. Our aim is to provide backwards compatibility whenever possible and usually our changes do not require integration partners to modify their implementation. However, sometimes we will need to roll out bigger changes which will not be backwards compatible. We will announce a date for deprecation of the affected API methods and provide suggestions for new methods to be used as replacement.
